As a Singaporean Malay, I disagree that Singapore is likened to be a Zimbabwe.

Minorities are given free education, subsidised food for school children such as the Milk Programme where children are given milk daily to promote health awareness, housing is taken care of, country is safe for my children, police is citizen-friendly unlike in Malaysia where police constantly beat up suspects and those under custody leading to deaths, roads are clean, city is clean, public transport is efficient, government agencies are efficient and effective, corruption is very very low and almost zilch, all my 3 children went to the local University with no issues in admission (entrants based on meritocracy) and they have good jobs in MNCs, my children speak perfect English, plus many more. No taxi driver has ever sent passengers to a jungle area, tie them up and rape or loot their personal effects.

In short, I am happy with the quality of life and living standard in Singapore. The key is the environment is safe for raising a family BUT not in Malaysia. Innocent citizens are constantly hauled up for no reason except being asked for kopi money or to be tortured unnecessarily in the lockup. We can eat and buy whatever we want here. Me and my family never felt like we are 2nd class here. In fact, we feel we are being treated with exception – free education and schooling years of my children. WE live in harmony with other races here.

Can Malaysia match up?

Malaysia is living in the 18th century, no progress in terms of mentality and citizen welfare.

So, Singapore is progressing well and manage to attract high inflow of FDI and it is ranked the world’s number 3 in terms of the best place for expatriates to work.

How about Malaysia? Even I am afraid to get into Johor. Many of my SIngaporean friends, even Malays, are robbed and cars scratched and a couple even got beaten in Genting by the bodyguards of one VIP! This is horrendous….Malaysia is filled with criminals and boasts of crime. Even Anita Sarawak & husband got a taste of crime a while back. Her Mat Salleh husband was slashed in broad daylight!! Mat Rempits are rampant and no women dare to carry shoulder bags. What freedom is this?

Even said. Our taxpayers money is well spent.
